iphone smartphone

If you were protecting your smartphone passcode from someone lurking over your shoulder, or from unseen security cameras, you might cover the screen as you tap in the PIN’s four or six digits. But once you’ve unlocked the phone, perhaps you’d let down your guard, and leave the screen in full view—especially if it’s off.

At an upcoming conference on human-computer interactions, they will present a new study that explains how someone armed with a thermal-imaging camera would have little trouble extracting your passcode from the heat signature left on your smartphone’s screen. Open Innovation (OI) aims to create interactions, achieve complementarity and then merge in a common effort the most different energies with the aim of disrupting certainties emphasised by the status quo. A result made possible by attuning to the intelligence of the interlocutors. This ignites a process for discovering qualities that each protagonist of the conversation did not even think to have. A revelation that distinguishes and distances open innovation from that closed in the secret treasure of one's own intellectual enclosure. A revelation that lights the fire of imagination to show original and unexpected combinations of ideas.
