Any leader is faced with navigating the expectations of others - as well as identifying and managing their own. Most leaders have teams to inspire, goals to accomplish and results to drive. For these reasons, it’s assumed that when a leader makes a mistake - others notice. It’s hard for leaders and managers to conceal their oversights and shortcomings - and not only that, but it may not be in their best interest to attempt a cover-up.
