When it comes to capturing venture capital funding Maryland tops the region in both deals and dollars. In a ranking of all 50 states and D.C., Maryland ranked No. 11 in venture capital funding in the third quarter of 2015. It ranked No. 7 in its share of nationwide deals during the same time.
