Somerville-based e-commerce website The Grommet helps launch undiscovered products every day. The company's goal is to "level the playing field" so the companies with the best products can compete in the marketplace, though they might be startups with little name recognition.
Since launching in 2008, The Grommet has featured more than 2,000 companies on its website, including those that have skyrocketed in popularity such as IdeaPaint, FitBit and SodaStream
