Minnetonka, Minn., (Golden Shovel Agency) –- Executives from Golden Shovel Agency will attend The Economic Development Association of Minnesota's (EDAM) 2011 Winter conference January 20-21. Aaron Brossoit, VP of Business Development and John Marshall, VP of Sales will represent the Minnesota Web development firm.

The two-day conference on New Technologies Driving Minnesota's Economy Forward will be held at the Minneapolis Marriott Southwest in Minnetonka. EDAM's mission is to advance economic development in Minnesota. Golden Shovel Agency prospects the latest technologies and trends in community development and provides them as Web solutions to their clients. The firm recently launched Economic Gateway, a first-of-its-kind Web system for Greater America.

EDAM President Scott Marquardt said the conference will showcase speakers presenting on topics such as redevelopment case studies, building value in businesses, economic development resources and programs, public finance, and a variety of sessions to provide new and innovative ideas and resources. Also a part of the conference will be an overview of the recent strategic planning done by EDAM's board and the strategic areas of focus for the future of the organization.

EDAM reported the conference will feature presentations from the EDAM Legislative Committee and the DEED Commissioner and a luncheon with Minnesota Senator Al Franken. The event is recognized by The International Economic Development Council (IEDC) as a professional development event that counts toward the recertification of Certified Economic Developers (CECD).
