The site http://www.realeconomyfuel.eu is part of a campaign by the European Private Equity and Venture Capital Association "EVCA" (http://www.ecva.eu) to encourage an informed discussion about the real role of the asset class within Europe.
The site includes an online forum for discussion with a wide array of stakeholders including entrepreneurs, company executives, employee representatives, policymakers, institutional investors, academics, students, leading commentators and those active in the private equity and venture capital industry.
Conversations will be led by regular bloggers, including leading CEOs, journalists, institutional investors, academics and advisers.
An important theme will be the role of Private Equity and Venture Capital in furthering European growth and innovation in key sectors like Cleantech and Environmental Technologies, Renewable Energy (Solar, Wind, Biofuels, Wave and Tidal Power), ICT, Biotech and Healthcare.
The site will also provide a repository for case-histories and research around the contribution and role private equity and venture capital plays in the European economy.
