A prestigious international science award has been bagged by an Irish teenager named Fionn Ferreira for his project which removed microplastics from water.
The 18-year-old Ferreira was named the overall winner of the 2019 Google Science Fair, a globally recognised annual science competition, which is open to students aged 13 and 18.
