Over half a million people have recovered from COVID-19 worldwide, according to Johns Hopkins University.
As of Thursday morning, the university reported 528,000 recoveries from the novel coronavirus.
Most of the recoveries have occurred in China, where the pandemic began. In the United States, about 48,000 people have reportedly recovered from COVID-19.
