Especially for data access across the Internet of Things and cloud servers, blockchain has been gaining popularity as a promising technology that has the ability to totally revolutionize the data security environment in the next years. Blockchain technology safeguards the data, but it does not say who is the owner or user of the data. In this work, they introduced the Biometric Blockchain (BBC) protocol, which explicitly includes biometric signals of individuals to identify the authors and users in a blockchain-based system, particularly to answer the rising demand for safe food logistics.
